Materials & Construction
This mattress features 3 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- A memory foam layer that will provide your body with the needed pressure relief. Unlike other memory foam types, this one is designed to stay cool during the night.
- A reflex foam layer that adds some bounce to this mattress. Besides that, it’s the main comfort layer.
- A high-density eco foam layer that keeps this mattress altogether. It’s the base of this mattress and it’s designed to provide your body with the needed support.

Cover
The cover of this mattress is made of 100% recycled plastic. They work with the Seaqual Initiative which is a project with the aim to clean our oceans. They gather litter from various parts of the ecosystem (beaches, rivers, ocean floor etc.) and they transform it into upcycled marine plastic. Makers like REM-Fit take this material and use it to make consumer products.
The cover features a plain white colour but this is a conscious decision. After all, the people at REM-Fit didn’t want to add any unnecessary colouring to keep an even more eco-friendly profile. This cover comes with a woven knitted finish that feels soft and adds a more premium character to this mattress. As you expect, this is a removable cover and if you want to clean it, you can use your washing machine. Just pop it inside it and use a mild detergent. Overall, this is a nice cover and I think that REM-Fit did a great job here.
Comfort & Support
It’s time now to continue with this REM-Fit Remy mattress review and talk about its performance. During the design process, they wanted to make a mattress that will suit most people. For this reason, this one comes with a medium-firm feel and if I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 6.6 with 10 being really firm. I would like now to talk about the different sleeping positions and how this mattress performed.
Starting from the back position, the Remy mattress hugged my hips and shoulders and I was quite comfortable in this position. The alignment of my spine was neutral and I felt that pressure relief was great. Although this is an affordable mattress, I felt that this was a sturdy construction.
Turning to the side position, the foam layers adjusted quickly and sinkage increased. This allowed my spine to have a better alignment and that was surprising from a mattress of this kind. I felt well supported and I didn’t have any discomfort in the hips and shoulder area.
Finally, moving to the front position, the mattress did a good job supporting my chest and hips. The sleeping surface didn’t feel too soft or too firm and that made me feel quite comfortable in this position. Overall, the Remy mattress performed well in all sleeping positions and that is hard to find.
If you share your bed with a partner, you should expect minimal motion transfer. That means you won’t disturb each other during sleep. On the other hand, the edge support is average but this is no surprise for a mattress of this kind.

If you decide to buy a Remy mattress, you will get free next-day delivery. This is definitely one of the fastest services in the UK and in order to get your mattress the following day, you should make sure you place your order before 1 pm. Besides that, you can choose to have your mattress delivered on a certain day and that is also free. These are great options and I was really happy that REM-Fit offers them for free.
If you have an old mattress and you don’t know how to remove it, there is an option during checkout and they can do this for you. However, you will have to pay a small fee. My mattress arrived promptly on time and during the whole process, I received great communication from them. The courier was very friendly and overall, I was really happy with their service.

I would like now to complete this REM-Fit Remy mattress review and share my final thoughts about it. REM-Fit managed to build an eco-friendly mattress here that is affordable and performs well. This is definitely impressive and although this is not the best mattress I have reviewed, it’s definitely a fantastic value for money option. If you look for a good all-rounder that won’t break the bank, the Remy mattress should be high on your list.
