Simba Hybrid Pillow Review

Simba was one of the first companies that started the “rolled mattress” trend here in the UK. Since launching their first mattress, Simba have developed a series of other sleep related products. In this Simba Hybrid pillow review, I will talk about their latest product and whether it is worth buying.

Having a good pillow is very important to achieve a good night’s sleep. That is one of the main reasons I have decided to create a pillow review section in this site. My Simba Hybrid pillow arrived almost 3 weeks ago in a beautiful carton box. After using it for quite a while now, I am ready to share my thoughts with you. Let’s move now to the full review below.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION

Simba designed their Hybrid pillow in a very clever way. Instead of using big foam pieces, they used nanotubes made of memory foam (image below). This design approach has three main benefits. Firstly, the pillow has adjustable height. In order to adjust it, all you have to do is to remove as many nanotubes as you wish to achieve the right height. Simba provides a handy bag that you can use to store the extra Nanotubes. Secondly, the Nanotubes allow airflow which keeps the pillow cool during sleep. Finally, the memory foam provides the head and neck with the needed pressure relief. The pillow measures 50cm x 75cm which is a good size and can fit easily in your bed. Overall, I think that Simba did an amazing job here and I really loved their design and the materials used.

PILLOW COVER

The cover of the Simba Hybrid pillow is a special one. Firstly it has a really futuristic design that looks great! The top part is white and the sides feature a silver colour with the Simba branding applied there. The sides of the pillow feature some ventilation panels which make sure that the pillow breaths during sleep. I must say that they do a really good job and the pillow remained cool even during really hot weather. The cover is made of 100% cotton and you can easily remove it. It is machine washeable at 40 degrees so no need to worry at all! You can keep the cover clean and fresh with minimal effort. Overall, I really loved what Simba did here and I think the cover is really great!

COMFORT & SUPPORT

Having used the Simba Hybrid for 3 weeks now, I think that it’s a really good pillow. What I love the most is the adjustable height. I personally, don’t like the very thick pillows so I adjusted mine to around 12cm in height. This is perfect for me as I like sleeping on my back and side. But whichever is your preferred position, you can adjust it to your needs. The memory foam Nanotubes provided me with both pressure relief and support and it felt really nice sleeping with this pillow. It actually surprised me how well it worked as I thought that it wouldn’t be stable enough but I was wrong. I switched between the three main different sleeping positions and the pillow performed very well in all of them. I definitely recommend it for those people who change position frequently during sleep. Overall, Simba did a very good job here and I thing this is definitely one of the best pillows I have tried.

VERDICT

Finishing another review, I would like to share my final thoughts with you. In general, it is hard to find a good pillow but the Simba Hybrid at £65 is a really good choice for everyone looking for an adjustable pillow. It is made with high quality materials and comes with a great service. The Simba Hybrid is definitely one of the best value for money pillows out there and I fully recommend it.
