If you are looking for ways to sleep better, you should definitely read my Nectar Hybrid mattress review. This is the second mattress that they release here in the UK and this time, they went with a different design approach. As its name suggests, this is a hybrid mattress that combines micro-springs with memory foam.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
The Nectar Hybrid mattress features 4 layers plus the cover. In detail, these are:
- A foam layer that ensures the sleeping surface stays cool during the night. In addition it adds bounce and it’s the first supportive layer of the mattress.
- A layer made of mini-springs that are designed to minimise motion transfer. They also help with comfort and have the ability to distribute weight evenly.
- A memory foam layer that has pressure relieving properties which are very important especially for those who suffer from a bad back.
- A base foam layer that keeps this mattress altogether. It features a 7-zone system that can provide customised support for the different parts of your body.
The Nectar Hybrid mattress has a medium loft and measures 25cm in height. The image below showcases how this mattress looks from the inside.
COVER
The cover of this mattress is a great one. It’s made of polyester which is a material that allows airflow and this was the main reason they went this way. Additionally, it’s very durable and it’s easy to maintain. At the bottom of the cover, they have added an antislip surface that helps the mattress to stay in place. The design of the cover is identical to the one they use in their Nectar mattress so you should expect a white top and grey sides. This is not the most inspiring design but I guess I am fine with it.
The cover is removable but unfortunately, you cannot machine wash it. Nectar advises that you spot clean it when this is needed. Just use some mild detergent and a piece of cloth. Overall, this is a high-quality cover that will do the job.
COMFORT & SUPPORT
The Nectar Hybrid mattress is a medium-firm mattress and when designing it, they wanted to create a mattress that would be good for the average sleeper. If I use my virtual scale here, I would say it’s a 3.3 with 5 being really firm. It feels mostly like a memory foam mattress but the micro-springs do a good job adding some bounce. It’s time now to talk about the different sleeping positions and how this mattress performed.
Starting from the back position, the mattress felt comfortable from the beginning and it did a good job supporting my back. Pressure relief was great and the 7-zone system worked great.
Turning to the side position, the mattress reacted quickly and sinkage increased to help my spine have a better alignment. The medium-firm feel was ideal for this position and if you like to sleep this way, this can be a great choice.
Finally, turning to the stomach position, the mattress managed to support my hips and shoulders and that felt great. Although I was expecting this mattress not to perform well in this position, it managed to surprise me and as a result, I think that this is one of the best all-rounders out there.
Another great thing about this mattress is that it has minimal motion transfer so if you share your bed with your partner, rest assured you will sleep well. Besides that, the Nectar Hybrid mattress is very well-made so the edge support is great.
