REM-Fit is an American brand that entered the UK market a few years back. After reviewing their mattresses, I was really keen to try their pillows too. In this REM-Fit 500 pillow review, I will talk about this interesting option and whether it’s a choice you should consider.
I have mentioned this many times that a good pillow is needed for a good sleep. REM-Fit understands that so they created a pillow range that will suit most people’s needs. The one I am going to review today is a memory foam one and it measures 64 x 40 x 12 cm. That means it will fit your old pillowcases. My REM-Fit 500 pillow arrived almost a month ago so it’s a good time now to write this review.
Materials & Construction
This pillow uses the same technology as Rem-Fit 500 mattress and its design is a straightforward one. The core of the pillow is made of viscoelastic memory foam which is infused with gel powder. This makes it more breathable and the pillow will stay cool during the night. Around that, they have added a cool gel pad which is positioned directly below the head area. It’s quite clear that keeping the pillow cool during sleep was one of the main priorities during the design process. The pillow is well made and REM-Fit did a good job here.
Pillow Cover
The cover of the pillow is made of 40% Tencel and 60% Polyester. They decided to go with this blend because it has a number of advantages. For those who read this blog frequently, you already know that I am a big fan of Tencel. It’s a material that is very eco-friendly and it’s naturally antibacterial and hypoallergenic. This makes this pillow a good choice for all allergy sufferers. Tencel also has the ability to regulate the body’s temperature which can be translated to a more comfortable sleep.
Polyester is a strong material that is very breathable. It’s also easy to clean and it’s very durable. If you want to clean it, you can machine-wash it at 40 degrees. The cover features 4 mesh panels which further enhance the pillow’s ability to breathe. The design is a modern one and the pillow features a two-tone colourway. Overall, it’s a very nice cover and I personally loved it.
Comfort & Support
When designing it, the people at REM-Fit wanted to create a pillow for those who tend to move a lot during the night (combo sleepers). For this reason, the loft of this pillow is 12cm which makes it very versatile. The memory foam core works well so you will get the needed support for your neck and head. After sleeping with it in every position, I think that it will suit most people and I can confidently say that REM-Fit did a good job here.
Verdict
It’s time now to complete this REM-Fit 500 pillow review and share my final thoughts with you. This is a really good pillow and it’s designed specifically for combo sleepers. It also features a great cooling technology so if you are a hot sleeper, you should consider it. Of course, all these come at a price (£99) but they run promotions very frequently so you won’t have to pay full price. Overall, I think that this is one of the best pillows I have reviewed.
